ABMP is the largest massage membership association in the United States with 57,000 members. They are devoted to promoting ethical practices, fostering acceptance of the professions and protecting the rights of legitimate massage, bodywork and practioners. "The Aromatherapy Alliance" ~ Founded in 2001, the Aromatherapy Alliance is a national, not-for-profit group that seeks to educate about the topical and clinical usages of essential oils and hydrosols. The groups meetings and many of its events are free or low cost. The "EOM" - essential oil of the month - program features a different essential oil each month and explains its benefits. There are chapters in New York, Pennsylvania Florida, Illinois and California with additional chapters forming continually.
